AVIS CLARK: The most recent addition to Con Alma, Avis joined in 2003 after participating in vocal jazz workshops led by Richard Kalman for about a year. Her early musical activities started with participation in her hometown choir in Jackson, Wyoming and the Jackson Hole Theatre Company's production of "Annie". She was a member of the University of Wyoming Chorale and pursued vocal training while in college. When she moved to California, she sang with the Moraga Community Choir. She has been a guest singer of the Larry Hestand Jazz Trio and studied jazz styling with vocalist Mary Katherine Severin.
