Uncle Jazz Combo. A jazz quartet playing jazz standards and originals led by Richard Kalman as vocalist/keyboardist. The musicians are longtime performers in the Bay Area jazz scene. Available for nightclub, restaurant bookings, private parties and events.
Solo Piano and Voice: Richard has extensive experience playing solo piano, background music or vocal accompaniment at private affairs, community centers, senior residences, health care facilities, art gallery openings, auctions, weddings. Wherever lively, pleasant piano jazz is appreciated.
Accompaniment: Piano accompaniment for jazz singers and singing groups.

EDUCATION: Voice, vocal coaching, development of jazz and popular singing styles. Individual instruction and coaching; classes in vocal jazz repertoire and stylistic development, focusing on performance and presentation.

Beginning to intermediate piano instruction. For children, teenagers and adults. Music theory, reading music, transposing keys, fundamentals of composition and arranging.

Arranging: Consultation and assistance with arranging songs, repertoire, developing a performance set and providing lead sheets.
